Preventing Oxidative Stress, Cellular Damage, And Disease

oxidative stress can cause multiple diseases. Nancy addison, nutritionist, talks about effective ways to reduce oxidative stress by 40% in 30 days. Diabetes, heart disease, MS, autism, ADD, etc.

As I am aging and researching things that help us retain our youthfulness, I have found that cell damage caused by oxidative stress is a major component of many conditions associated with aging and disease. Oxidative Stress is not a disease. Oxidative stress is a condition that can lead to disease.

“All infections do their damage with what they call oxidative stress.

It is electron theft. All laboratory tests show this.”

Dr. Thomas E. Levy MD  – Cardiologist & Lawyer

So, what kind of damage is caused by oxidative stress?

Conditions that are associated with oxidative stress damage are:
Atherosclerosis
• Cancer
• Pulmonary dysfunction
• Cataracts
• Arthritis and inflammatory diseases
• Diabetes
• Shock, trauma, and ischemia
• Renal disease and hemodialysis
• Multiple sclerosis
• Pancreatitis
• Inflammatory bowel disease and colitis
• Parkinson’s disease
• Neonatal lipoprotein oxidation
• Drug reactions
• Skin lesions
• Aging

That is quite a list of things!

What exactly is oxidative stress?

Oxidative stress is an imbalance between of free radicals and healthy, normal cells. A free radical, is an oxygen containing molecule that is missing an electron. This allows it to damage neighboring cells.
The ability to utilize oxygen allows the body to metabolize of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates for energy. The problem is that oxygen is a highly reactive atom.

Free radicals are electrically charged molecules that are missing an electron. These free radicals then go in search of a molecule that can supply the missing electron. When it takes the electron from the other molecule, it neutralizes that free radical, but in the process, it creates another free radical. This has a chain reaction effect that can go on for thousands and thousands of molecules, which can cause incredible cell damage in the process. This can continue in seconds of the initial reaction.

According to Dr Mark Percival, antioxidants are the best way to defend against this cellular damage.  His reserach shows they are critical for maintaining optimum health and well-being.

Every cell that uses enzymes and oxygen to function is subject to free radical damage.  Antioxidants are the molecules that are present in the cells that can prevent these free radicals from creating this damage, and subsequent chain reaction.

In reality, many people’s diets are not getting the amount of antioxidants require to defend itself from the overwhelming amount of free radicals that can be in the body causing damage. This can result in massive amounts of cellular damage.

When a cell is damaged, the DNA stand divides, the cell metabolizes, and it’s function becomes deranged. The mutation created then results in carcinogenesis. Studies show that the antioxidant protects against this DNA damage and decreases the abnormal cell division.

Even though there are growing dangers of oxidative stress, there are some simple ways to prevent it.

1. Antioxidants can be obtained from fresh, organic, non-GMO fruits and vegetables. Studies show that diets filled with adequate amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables can protect against numerous cancers, heart disease, and other diseases.

2. Antioxidants can also be added to the diet in the form of a supplement, capsules or tablets. There is a supplement, that I am using now, that can help with oxidative stress and helping the body to actually manufacture it’s own antioxidants. There was an ABC “Primetime News” segment on it that describes what it does quite well. Click here to view the Primetime Segment. “

In the US, Heart disease is the leading cause of death. An estimated one in three Americans will eventually die from heart disease. Diets low antioxidant-rich foods are linked to the frequency of this disease.

It has been estimated that dietary increases in antioxidant vitamins may reduce the risk of heart disease by 20-30%.

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States. It is estimated that a diet low in antioxidants rich foods, may account for as much as 35% of all cancers.

Research shows, that a diet low in nutritious fruits and vegetables doubles the risk of most types of cancers.

Antioxidants are critical for stabilizing, or deactivating, free radicals before they attack and destroy cells. They are important in maintaining optimal cell health and well-being.

This supplement I’m taking has been very effective in reducing cellular oxidative stress by 40% within 30 days. It is so effective at so many things that it has been nominated for 3 Nobel Prizes for Medicine. This is very impressive for a natural supplement that is not a pharmaceutical. In fact there are over 24 peer reviewed studies posted on PubMed concerning this supplement, Protandim NRF2,

If you are struggling with a health challenge, this may be a good thing for you to try. It’s so safe, parents have been giving babies partial amount of the pills to help their child gain their health from autism. People are giving it to their horses and dogs who are old and suffering

Athletes love it. Kelly Slater, 11x world champion surfer, takes Nrf2. “I’ve been on (#TheLittleYellowPill) for 5 years now and can attest to the power of this product in helping to recover from injury, besides just feeling so good now… I cracked my pelvis in 2 places and 2 ribs on a tree in a snowboarding accident last year. I wasn’t sure I would walk normally after the accident… I was running upstairs just 6 weeks later. I will NEVER not take it!”

For autism, Chris a mother of an autistic child said. “2 weeks ago after him being activated we Nrf1, him to boost and repair his mitochondrial function. He is starting to repeat words, try new foods, and the best…finally allowing a toothbrush in his mouth. That’s just a start.

We took him to a developmental pediatrician at Children’s hospital in Portland and when your child is Autistic you tend to self-blame.

After dropping the bug in his ear about the products he’s on and because the research posted on here the lights went on and he said…Ohh MY,! You’re right…There is a link between mitochondrial dysfunction and autism. Nobody has even bothered testing for it? The Dr. validated me and told me I’m doing everything right.”

It’s not expensive, it can be under $60 a month. Click on this link to see the product pages and the website. New customers, click on “Shop”

You may want to order the NRF1 and 2 package, for the very basic program. Add the Axio is you can afford it. That helps support the mental abilities.

For the skin, there is a skin cream, their is a scalp serum, that has been shown to work really well with hair regrowth.
