Calcium – To Take Or Not To Take?

Calcium - To Take Or Not To Take? by Nutritionist, Nancy Addison

Calcium is an important mineral. It is necessary for maintaining bone strength. Calcium enables muscles to move and nerves to carry messages between the brain and other parts of the body. It is essential to our blood vessels’ ability to move blood throughout the body. Calcium plays a role in the release of hormones and enzymes that are vital to the body’s functions.

If we eat too many acidic foods, our bodies do all kinds of things to adjust. The body will pull calcium from the bones to regulate the pH of the body. Meat is very acidic and can upset the body’s pH. As reported by McGill University, “animal proteins can inhibit the absorption of calcium.”(1)

Unprocessed vegetarian foods are primarily very alkalizing and help maintain a good pH. For this reason, vegetarians may not need as much calcium as carnivores.

Magnesium helps with the absorption of calcium. I do not recommend supplementing calcium.
In Dr. Thomas E. Levy’s book “Death by Calcium”, this board-certified cardiologist argues that the regular intake of dairy and calcium supplementation promotes all known chronic degenerative diseases and significantly shortens life.

I believe that consuming foods containing good sources of calcium and magnesium is the best way to get these nutrients. Broccoli, kale, collard greens, and mustard greens are good sources of calcium and magnesium.

If you are taking calcium, thinking it will make your bones stronger, here are a few suggestions that are healthier options.

First, start doing some weight training! It doesn’t have to be much or too heavy. Find what works for you. Weight training increases bone density, and it improves muscle mass, balance, and connective tissue strength. It also increases your metabolism!

If you truly want stronger bones, I recommend wearing the x39 and x49 patches by Lifewave. Click here to see how this technology works. The clinical studies show improved bone strength. In the following video discussion, David, the inventor of the patches, David Schmidt CEO LifeWave, discussing x39 and x49 and how they can improve your health.

If you decide to order, I would order the X39 & X49 bundle, they both stimulate the body’s own stem cells. If you do order, please use my link and they may ask for my I D Number is 1439757 and my link will say “Organic Healthy Life
