Whether it’s spring cleaning or just everyday cleaning, all of us want clean homes and laundry. We want to kill the harmful germs and bacteria in our environment effectively and efficiently. Many of the cleaners on the market today have toxic chemicals in them. I am going to share with you some non-toxic house hold cleaners that I use. These cleaning products are safe, non-toxic and not tested on animals. And best of all , they can save you money!

1. Borax Powder

It is a natural mineral and is only about $2 a box at my grocery store. You might know it as Twenty Mule Team Borax Natural Laundry Booster. But it’s a terrific cleaner for just about everything! I use it to: scouring sinks, cleaning windows, cleaning counters, washing floors, laundry boosting, as a dish washing machine booster, as a refrigerator cleaner, and removing stuck or burned-on food to pots and pans.

2. White Vinegar

White vinegar kills more germs than bleach. (1) It is also a safe way for removing mildew, stains, and grease. White vinegar also whitens laundry and It’s inexpensive.

3. Hydrogen Peroxide

An extremely well executed study by Virginia Tech University on what is the best cleaner, including salmonella on counter tops, and other dangerous germs that can be in the kitchen or bathroom. They tested all the products on the market from all the products you see at the grocery stores to day down to the old faithful cleaners your grandmother may have used.

What they found was the very best there was a combination of two things. the combination of hydrogen peroxide in conjunction with white vinegar. This combination was found to be the most effective at germ-killing. Hydrogen peroxide and vinegar were put in separate spray bottles, and then used separately, but together, during the same cleaning. One was sprayed (the vinegar or peroxide; it didn’t matter which went first), then the other, and then the surface was wiped clean. (2) Hydrogen peroxide is also inexpensive and non-toxic.

4. Non-Toxic Cleaners

Sometimes we just want simplicity.
