Nancy Addison Discusses Metro Cooking, Houston and Dallas

I just thought I would keep you up on what I am doing this week.
I spoke at Metro Cooking Houston last week and it was a really
exciting and a fun event.I spoke to the media at a special event and
then presented 4 talks on the healing diet and organic gardening.

At night we went out to dinner and when we went to Bistro 19 and Charles
Clark’s Ibiza. Charles is an amazing chef, who told me he loved my book.

Both restaurants were superb. Charles Clark is opening up a restaurant here in Dallas soon.
Here is the information for my talks this weekend. I give 2 thirty
minute talks on the healing diet and one on easy organic gardening
and I sign my books for anyone who wishes to buy them.

This event is huge in Washington DC, where they have had the event for
12 years. This was the second year it has been in Houston and it is
the first year in Dallas.

It is a huge food festival! I was really impressed with the quality of
the event.

The Movie: Courage with Nancy Addison: Actress and Stunt Woman

Author, Chef, Speaker: Nancy Addison is the Stunt Woman in the Movie “Courage”

“Courage” premiered in Ft. Worth, TX. Great Texas musicians, like Stephanie Urbina Jones and John Inman are some of the actors. Making the movie was really great fun for Nancy.

The man who is the director, was the director of my cooking show DVD’s. This is how Nancy became involved in this project. He knew Nancy is an actress and also loves to ride horses.

Nancy had an opportunity to do both in this film. Yes, Nancy is the stunt woman in the film Courage.

Riding off into the sunset on a horse Nancy didn’t know, that in the pasture there was a huge turkey. It became started and flew out of a bush and frightened Nancy and her horse so much that her horse reared back and took off in another direction. Luckily, Nancy is a very good horseback rider and kept in the saddle. Nancy got her horse under control and went back and did it one more time.

This time. William, the director, was pleased. Nancy was so happy that she was able to be a part of the film in this way. It was an exciting moment in Nancy’s life.

Pictured here is Zack Young (a star of the movie), William Booth ( director), Nancy Gibbons Addison ( saloon woman and in the last scene- stunt double for Stephanie Urbina Jones, that rode the horse off into the sunset!) and Bob Fanucchi ( star and producer). It is a “short” movie by Oscar category.
