I love lasagna, and this is one of my favorite dishes to serve when I have company. It is easy to make ahead of time, refrigerate, and then reheat.

This looks like a complicated recipe, but it is actually pretty easy. You can buy frozen broccoli and spinach and thaw them, and buy cheeses already grated to make the preparation a little easier. I usually make two or three lasagnas at a time and freeze them. You can buy gluten-free lasagna noodles and they are delicious!

Having these lasagnas on hand makes everything about entertaining so easy. I have had many of my meat-eating friends tell me they absolutely love this lasagna, so it has passed the “non-vegetarian dinner guest test” at my home. And this is in Texas, where that test can be a tough one!

Bake this lasagna in a 13 x 9 x 2 dish.

Serve this with salad and crusty, whole-grain bread.

Serves 8 – 10

Ingredients

8 oz. whole, sprouted-grain lasagna noodles (gluten-free are good)

2 eggs (preferably organic, humanely raised, and pasture raised)

1 16-oz. container ricotta cheese (preferably from cows or goats that are grass fed and humanely raised)

2 c. mozzarella cheese, grated (preferably from cows or goats that are grass fed and humanely-raised)

1 c. Parmesan cheese grated (preferably from cows or goats that are grass fed and humanely raised)

½ c. parsley (fresh), chopped

1 c. red onion, chopped

1 T. extra virgin, pure coconut oil

1 c. mushrooms, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 c. broccoli, chopped

½ c. baby spinach, chopped

3 c. tomato sauce

1/2 tsp. unrefined mineral-rich salt

1/4 tsp. black pepper

dash of cayenne pepper

pinch of garlic salt

pinch of onion powder

1/8 tsp. basil (dried)

1/8 tsp. thyme (dried)

1/8 tsp. parsley (dried)

1/8 tsp. savory (dried)

1/8 tsp. sage (dried)

1 tsp. miso

1/4 c. non-chlorinated water

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

2. Combine cayenne pepper, garlic salt, onion powder, basil, thyme, dried parsley, savory, and sage and set aside.

3. Dissolve miso in the ¼ c. of water and set aside.

4. Boil a pot of water and cook lasagna noodles until al dente. (This means they are soft, but not too soft; there is a tiny bit of hardness to them.) Remove from heat, drain, and set aside.

5. Beat eggs.

6. Combine eggs with ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, ¼ cup of the Parmesan cheese, fresh parsley, the herb mixture, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

7. Sauté onions in a large skillet with coconut oil until almost translucent, then add the mushrooms and minced garlic and sauté a few more minutes.

8. Add miso water to the skillet with onion mixture carefully, so it doesn’t splatter.

9. Quickly add chopped broccoli and spinach, and sauté a few minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

10. In the baking dish, layer the lasagna: Start with 1/3 of the tomato sauce, followed by a layer of noodles, then half of the cheese mixture, spread evenly, then half of the vegetable mixture, spread evenly. Repeat the layers. Finish with the last 1/3 of the tomato sauce and sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese over the top.

11. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.

12. Serve warm.

Notes

1. I love to use roasted tomato sauce with this recipe.

2. Garlic salt can be found in the spice area at the grocery store. You can also simply mince some garlic and add it to some sea salt to make your own.

3. You can use Vegan egg and cheese options. I have resources and recipes for these in my cookbooks, including “How To Be A Healthy Vegetarian,” 2nd edition.

4. I make a larger version of this herb mixture, store it in a glass jar, and use it frequently in many of my recipes.

It’s springtime here in Texas and we see bright green sprouts of leaves and buds appearing everywhere! I find it simply invigorating to gaze at.

Sprouts are the ultimate superfood, incredibly nutritious and packed with power. Sprouts are the basis of life because they rejuvenate, re-energize, and heal. Sprouts are one of the most nutritionally-rich foods. A complete food, they contain protein, carbohydrates, and good fat. They are rich in vitamins, minerals, and natural enzymes. Sprouts can contain all the nutritional value of the whole plant in one little sprout!

Studies have shown that when seeds and grains are germinated, they show an increase in “activities of hydrolytic enzymes, improvement in the contents of certain essential amino acids, total sugars, and B-group vitamins, and a decrease in dry matter, starch, and anti-nutrients.”(1)

Because of the protein shortage during World War II, Dr. Clive M. McKay promoted sprouted soybeans as a wartime food source. The Chinese have included sprouts as a nutritional part of their diet for thousands of years. Adding sprouts is an easy way to add a wealth of nutrition to your diet.

The mung bean is one of my favorite sprouts. A sprouted mung bean has the carbohydrate content of a melon, the Vitamin A of a lemon, the thiamin of an avocado, the riboflavin of a dry apple, the niacin of a banana, and the ascorbic acid of a loganberry— all in one sprout! Dr. Paul Talalay of the American Cancer Society said that “broccoli sprouts are better for you than full-grown broccoli and contain more of the enzyme sulforaphane, which helps protect cells and prevents their genes from turning into cancer.”(2)

The New York Times Reported that “researchers from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore have found that broccoli sprouts, grown in plastic laboratory dishes from ordinary broccoli seeds, contain anywhere from 30 to 50 times the concentration of protective chemicals found in mature broccoli plants. These chemicals, called isothiocyanates, were already known to be potent stimulators of natural detoxifying enzymes in the body, and are thought to help explain why the consumption of broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower, cabbage and kale is associated with a lowered risk of contracting cancer.

With the discovery that broccoli sprouts are an exceptionally rich source of isothiocyanates, the scientists suggested that the sprouts might offer an easy, palatable and fairly uniform way of getting at least some of the protective benefits of a high-vegetable diet. For example, they said, epidemiological studies indicate that to cut the risk of colon cancer in half, a person needs to eat about two pounds of broccoli and similar vegetables a week, a goal that few Americans meet.

Given the chemical potency of broccoli sprouts, the scientists said, the same reduction in risk theoretically might be had with a weekly intake of just a little over an ounce of sprouts.”(3)

Growing your own sprouts is easy. Anyone can do it, and the sprouts are ready to harvest in four days to a week. All you need are seeds, clean water, and a sieve or sprouting bag or jar. (If you are growing something like wheat or barley grass or sunflower seed sprouts, you’ll also need some trays and nutrient-rich soil.)

The FDA said contaminated food plant seeds can cause food-borne illness, so cleaning seeds first is recommended. Clean seeds with a mixture of lime juice and vinegar or a tiny bit of food-grade hydrogen peroxide.

After this, soak them with EM, an effective microbial inoculant, which is a probiotic blend. Microbial inoculant products include three groups of naturally occurring beneficial bacteria: yeast, photosynthetic bacteria, and lactic acid bacteria. The probiotic “works together with microbes in the area to which it is added, to promote a healthy environment for beneficial microorganisms and larger forms of life, including insects, worms, pets, livestock and people.”(4) (You can purchase the Microbial inoculant, EM, Bokashi, from Arbico Organics in various forms.)

Make a mild mixture of one drop of EM in one cup of pure water, add the seeds, and let them sit for 10 minutes. The seeds and the earth benefit from probiotics, which boost their ability to fight off harmful bacteria, just as our body benefits from probiotics which keep bad bacteria in check. In a sense, we are boosting the earth’s immune system. Then, put the seeds in pure water and soak them overnight. Drain the water. Put them in a sieve or a sprouting bag or jar and place in a cool dark place. If you are growing wheat or barley grass or sunflower seeds, put them in a flat sprouting tray with some organic soil and sprinkle a bit more soil over them. The ideal temperature is 70°F.

I simply lay a dish towel over my sprouts or put them in a dark room. Rinse the seeds (or water the sprouting tray and soil) one to three times a day with pure water until they start to sprout. When they start to sprout, they will grow quickly. After a full day or two sprouting, you can move them to the sunlight. There they will develop chlorophyll, the green pigment found in plants.

Chlorophyll has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Antioxidants prevent or slow oxidation. (Oxidation leads to cell damage, production of abnormal cells, and disease.) Antioxidants also stop the damage caused by free radicals. Plus, chlorophyll gives sprouts high levels of oxygen.

Nobel Prize winner Dr. Otto Warburg found that cancer cells, bacteria, and viruses could not survive in a body with high amounts of oxygen. (5)

He also determined the ideal pH of the human body is approximately 7. Processed foods are acidic and can make the body acidic. Sprouts are an alkaline food, and a great source of oxygen. Leave the sprouts in the sunlight for a day (or more) to get as much chlorophyll as you can into your sprouts.

I buy a lot of my organic sprouts from the “Indoor Organic Gardens of Poughkeepsie”. They also make an incredibly healthy raw, organic broccoli sprout powder you can add to foods for a super powerful nutritious boost! Put the code “Nancy” in the discount box for a sizable discount, if you order products from them.

Add sprouts to salads, sandwiches, dips, smoothies, green drinks, and juices!

When you are incredibly busy, how do you eat healthy?

Between work, school, events, family, kids, and everything concerning life, it may seem impossible to eat healthy.

Here are my top tips for maintaining your healthy eating and health, while on the go with an busy schedule.

Start your day by eating a good nutritious breakfast. Your body needs fuel to function. It’s like a car that requires gas or electricity to function. Your body needs to eat. When we eat early, it revs up our metabolism.

Make a quick smoothie (I have some smoothie recipes in my books), or prepare some toast with avocado, or have some plain, organic yogurt and fruit or granola that you keep available in your kitchen. Eating a healthy breakfast is vitally important for maintaining optimum energy for your whole day.

I can still remember my daughter saying, “I am not leaving for school without having my smoothie!” She knew she felt better, could think more effectively, and could thrive until lunchtime (which was late in the day), if she had her power smoothie that I prepared for my family every morning. Invest in the time to do this, because it is well worth the effort. With healthy ingredients, this alone can transform your life.

Another one of my top recommendations is that if you know you shouldn’t eat something, then don’t buy it. Don’t have it in the house or office. I see people with candy and cookies sitting on their desks or in their offices. Sugar or artificial sugar (which is worse), acts like a drug and it will destroy your immune system.

One teaspoon of sugar can shut down your immune system for up to 5 hours. It is also addictive and it takes more sugar each time to satisfy that craving, because you build up a tolerance. The mind is very suggestible, so keep it out of sight and therefore out of your thoughts. I’ve found that it’s much easier to eat in a healthy way if you only have healthy foods from which to choose.

I really don’t believe in snacking, because it makes your body dependent on a constant intake of food. I think this leads to obesity and diabetes, because it never allows the body time to rest or the ability to use its storage of fat that it has put away for extra energy. Try to eat only at meal time.

What we think of as a meal doesn’t necessarily have to be what the advertisers or movies would have us believe. We really need just a small amount of nutrient-dense food, not a huge amount of food with empty calories and no nutrition.

Serving sizes have grown over the years and they really aren’t healthy. My son or daughter would say, “Mom doesn’t eat hardly anything.” But in reality I eat very well. I eat sitting down, slowly chewing my nutritious food that feeds my body on a deep cellular level. In this way, I feel satisfied and my body gets what it requires to feel energized and healthy.

One thing that works for me is to pick one day in advance to prepare my foods for the week ahead. I buy the ingredients the day before, and then have a day of fun, music, and the creation of my healthy dishes for the week. I find this day of food preparation to be very enjoyable, relaxing, and therapeutic.

If you have family, do it together and share the fun and healthy food preparation! Children learn by watching, and they are also more inclined to eat what they help prepare, so get everyone involved! My children now prepare amazingly healthy meals for work, school, and travel, because they learned how to do this when they were growing up.

What I know is that nutrient-dense foods give you more energy, make you feel fuller and more satisfied than nutrient-deficient foods. So, go for the nutrition that feeds the body on a deep cellular level.

The meals I eat are small but nutritious, and they are eaten slowly and chewed well, without liquids that would water down my digestive enzymes. Remember to have your liquids at least 2 hours after a meal or 30 minutes before a meal, but NEVER with a meal. You need to digest your food fully and completely. If you water down your digestive enzymes and aren’t chewing your food until it’s liquid before swallowing it, then your body won’t be able to digest your food effectively. Digestion-related issues are a major cause of many health problems.

Some healthy meal suggestions:

Combine some slices of apples, pears, peaches, or other fruits or vegetables, with some sprouted seed or nut butter of your choice to have as a light meal.

Cut up some vegetables to use with hummus. This makes a delicious, easy, and satisfying meal. I cut up cucumber, red bell pepper, zucchini, squash, mushrooms, and tomatoes, and put them in a good glass container to take with me for meals. Be sure to put the hummus in a separate container, so the vegetables stay fresher.

My daughter was telling me about her “jar salads” that she is making. You can make salads in large jars in advance, and set them in the refrigerator, to have ready for utilizing another day. Put the salad dressing on the bottom of the jar, then stack your salad ingredients on top of it. I would place things like small whole tomatoes, olives, or radishes, or something not too absorbable on the first layer over the dressing. This way the salad dressing doesn’t make your salad soggy before you are ready to enjoy it. When you are ready for your salad, simply shake it up in the jar and eat it out of the jar, or you can pour it out into a bowl or plate to combine and enjoy.

My son makes his salads for work in transportable containers. He places his dressing in a separate small container to add to his salad later. Use your favorite veggies or greens.

For any of your meals, (hummus, nut butters, smoothies, salads), you can even add some Indoor Organic Gardens Of Poughkeepsie’s broccoli powder to it for extra nutrition. (Put my name “Nancy” in the discount code box for a discount.)

Mix the broccoli powder in the food (hummus, butter, potatoes, salad, smoothie, avocado, etc.) for the magnificent sulforaphane nutrition. New studies show that if you add broccoli to your diet a few times a week, it can reduce the chance of cancer by up to 40%. Remember it’s all about the quality of your nutritious food.

The Indoor Organic Gardens Of Poughkeepsie, makes this powder from organic, freshly grown sprouts which are even more nutrient-dense than full-grown broccoli. They can overnight them to you also!

Beware of buying things that are pre-chopped. Many of my clients go for these, but when I show them that they are usually not organic, and are conventionally grown with GMO seeds or glyphosate (an antibiotic used on foods as a drying agent and/or herbicide chemical to kill weeds, but really kills all life), which is one of the main reasons they are having health challenges, they decide to try a different approach.

Most of these pre-cut or pre-prepared meals and foods are NOT organic, have canola oil in them (or other unhealthy ingredients), and are very high priced and tough on the budget.

Another thing to be aware of is that when foods are cut, they start to lose their nutrients as soon as they are exposed to oxygen. So, chop them yourself and have control over how long they are cut and if they are organic.

What I do is take them whole and just cut them up as I eat them. I find it easy, and it also slows me down from eating my food too fast. I sit and cut a bite at a time and eat it. Take a plate and silverware with you. Eat with dignity. You deserve it.

Make time for yourself and your health. As I mentioned earlier, choose a day to make a large pot of soup, beans, rice, quinoa, stew, lasagna, or pizza to have for meals in the coming week. Make it an event that is fun, with music, candlelight, and family or friends. Put it on your calendar like it is a business appointment with the Doctor, only it is a health appointment with yourself that is going to give you a higher quality of life, more energy, less sick days, and more vitality!

Decide on two to four main dishes you will have for the coming week and cook them on a weekend day or a day you have off from work.

You can also get a recipe prepared and use a crock-pot to cook it during the day while you are at work, and have a meal ready when you get home. It can be a marvelous dinner and enough left over to save for another day.

Once you do that, put it into a variety of single-serving bowls you can put in the refrigerator or freezer, and take them out as needed for meals at work, home, or school.

One thing I recommend for everyone, is to make an investment in a set of glass “Oven to Freezer” single or double serving containers with snug-fitting lids. This will make your life so easy! Make large amounts of foods, then store them in these containers for use later in stir-fries, side dishes, meals, etc. If you come home late and are tired, take one of these out of the freezer, remove the lid, and put it in the oven to heat it up while you take a shower, walk the dog, or are going through your mail.

I understand that not everyone has access to a work refrigerator, but many folks do. I recommend utilizing the office fridge and freezer to optimize your diet and keep your healthy foods available for your meals.

Just remember to NEVER use a microwave to heat ANYTHING! Microwaves destroy the molecular structure of your food and destroy the nutrients. Don’t even heat water in them. Please, I care about you. Use a little hot plate to put your warm drink on so you don’t have to reheat it. Try using a little warming oven or toaster oven, or don’t heat it, and eat it at room temperature.

I’ve worked with movie stars, models, CEO’s, doctors, lawyers, etc. Most of them were sick quite often, or had “allergy” problems, autoimmune, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, etc. Once they decided to make their health a priority, and actually started taking control of the quality of their food and what went into their body, their health transformed.

Usually within a week or two, they had improved quality of sleep, higher amounts of energy, sharper mental focus, and better blood tests, and they became believers.

What goes into our body turns into our cells, our tissues, and our blood. How could our food and drink not affect our overall health and well-being.

So, take control of your life!

I have many wonderful easy recipes in my six cookbooks. I also have a lot of recipes in my blog, and on my Youtube videos. Preparing healthy food is easier than you think.

Oftentimes when I do a pantry make-over for a health counseling client, I find out what a person likes to eat, and then we go together on a grocery store shopping trip. We replace their favorite foods with better, more nutritious versions that support their health and well-being.

Let’s turn those tired sick days into energetic healthy days!

You can do this!

It is a choice.

It can be easy, delicious, and fun!

I was recently asked a question:

I have heart disease. I have learned that a vegetarian diet can reverse heart disease. I bought your book, “How To Be A Healthy Vegetarian” 2nd edition and I’m on a vegetarian diet .
I know I am doing much better thanks to your wonderful nutrition-packed cookbook, but my doctor still wants me to take statin drugs. I worry about taking those, because they have a lot of side effects.
I wondered if there are some new updates for supporting my health on a daily basis that might help me avoid using statins and also help my heart be healthier?

My Answer:

There is new research and information coming out all the time regarding the best way to take care of our health.

Recently, I’ve been discussing heart disease, cholesterol, and cancer with Dr. Stephanie Seneff (a senior research scientist at MIT) on my radio show, and I have learned something very important, which I am going to pass along to you and my Organic Healthy Life Family.

Dr. Seneff has studied extensively the correlation between heart disease, sulfur, and cholesterol. She told me that one of the most crucial things people can do for their overall health is to add sulfur-rich foods and liquids to their daily diet. This is particularly helpful for people with heart disease, cancer, diabetes, autism, and Alzheimer’s.

Mel Werbach, M.D., author of the Textbook of Nutritional Medicine (Third Line Press, 1999), sees sulfur as a blind spot in nutrition and medicine. (1)

“Here is an essential nutrient that no one sees as being that,” says Ronald M. Lawrence, M.D., Ph.D. “We don’t learn anything about sulfur in medical school. Sulfur has been the most understudied and overlooked nutrient.” (2)

“Sulfur-based amino acids and sulfur are the “glue” which not only form the matrix of our bones and joints but all of the cellular interlinking, which is the true cellular matrix not only of man but all living organisms, even water has a matrix.” (3)

Sulfur compounds are found in egg yolks, as well as organically-grown onion, garlic, and cruciferous vegetables, including broccoli, cauliflower, kale, Brussels Sprouts, watercress, radish, and leeks. In addition to foods, sulfur-rich mineral water is another source.

One of the easiest and most effective ways to add sulfur-rich food to your diet is to add cruciferous sprouts, especially broccoli sprouts.

Sprouts are the ultimate superfood and are rich in vitamins, minerals, and natural enzymes. Sprouts can contain all of the nutritional value of the whole plant in one little sprout!

When seeds are sprouted, they show an increase in enzymes, in content of certain essential amino acids, and in B Vitamins. Dr. Paul Talalay of the American Cancer Society said that broccoli sprouts are better for you than full-grown broccoli.(4)

Broccoli sprouts contain more of the enzyme sulforaphane,
(a form of sulfur) which helps protect cells and prevents their genes from turning into cancer.(5) Broccoli sprouts are an exceptionally rich source of inducers of enzymes that protect against chemical carcinogens.

According to research, Sulforaphane is a sulfur-containing food molecule that reverses aging, stops inflammation, kills cancer, protects the brain, and puts an end to cardiovascular disease.

While sulforaphane is found naturally in cruciferous vegetables, these vegetables must be prepared and eaten in the right way to maximize the bioavailability of sulforaphane. By this I mean eating them as a raw sprout, without heating them. Broccoli sprouts have much more sulforaphane than All Other Cruciferous Vegetables Combined.

You know how I am always saying it’s important to detoxify and have clean cells. Well, sulforaphane can really help the body with detoxification. Sulforaphane has been shown in studies to detoxify pesticides that are in our food.(6)

Studies have also shown that sulforaphane can help us detoxify from the polluted air we are breathing. The broccoli sprouts help detoxify 61% of benzene, which is a carcinogen.(7)

For anyone concerned with their weight or with diabetes, a study put mice on the Standard American Diet. The mice quickly became obese, with insulin resistance and very high cholesterol levels, and they developed atherosclerosis. (8)

What was most interesting about this study was that the mice that were given sulforaphane had their hunger hormone levels drop and they lost weight. The insulin metabolism of the mice
became normalized, their blood pressure and cholesterol levels dropped, and their atherosclerosis was reversed.(9)

New research is showing that sulforaphane may ultimately be the best anti-diabetes nutrient. “Sulfur is necessary in the production of insulin, as well as other sulfur-based amino acids necessary for the metabolism of carbohydrates.” (10)

Researchers at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden enrolled 97 obese people with type 2 diabetes. They then randomized these people to either broccoli sprouts or a placebo.

After just 12 weeks, those people randomized to broccoli sprouts had blood sugar readings 10% lower than those randomized to a placebo. Probably the most positive part of this study is that the diabetics did not have any of the side effects that you would expect to see from a diabetes pharmaceutical drug. (11)

Dr. Stephanie Seneff’s research at MIT has shown her some important information concerning cholesterol. Many people worry about their cholesterol levels, but when you ingest sulfur-rich foods or get sunshine without sunscreen, the cholesterol joins together with the sulfur. This naturally lowers cholesterol and creates a marvelous healing combination.

While few people want to take a statin drug to reduce high cholesterol, one possible alternative could be broccoli sprouts. In one study, broccoli sprouts reduced LDL or bad cholesterol by 7%. (12)

If that isn’t enough to convince you to add some organic broccoli sprouts to your diet, another study found that sulforaphane is a powerful anti-inflammatory compound that helps reduce depression and anxiety. (13)

While there aren’t any good studies showing that sulforaphane treats depression and anxiety in humans, it certainly seems to help mice with their depression and anxiety. (14) This may help in these times as we try to handle the covid-19 pandemic situation and all the things involved.

Growing your own sprouts is easy. Anyone can do it, and the sprouts are ready to harvest in four days to a week. All you need are organic, non-GMO seeds, clean water, and a sieve or sprouting bag or jar.

An easier way is to order organically grown, raw, non-GMO Broccoli Sprout Powder from the Indoor Organic Gardens Of Poughkeepsie. They use non-chlorinated water to grow them in organic soil and dry them at room temperature.

This is a marvelous, ethical company that hires people who find it difficult to find work, such as autistic people. They also donate food to the elderly and children’s food programs. I have been to the facility and was extremely impressed with their work, their quality, and their product.

The broccoli powder can be added a few times a day to various meals such as smoothies, cereal, apple sauce, mashed potatoes, etc. It doesn’t have much taste, but it will add powerful nutrition to your food.

They also grow a lot of other types of organically grown sprouts that you can order and add to your salads, sandwiches, etc. They can overnight them to you, so they are super fresh.

Order your sprouts or raw broccoli sprout powder from the “Indoor Organic Gardens Of Poughkeepsie” and put “NANCY” in the code box and get a discount on your order.

I always stress that you should eat Organic, Non-GMO food for many reasons, but a main reason is that chemical fertilizers and pesticides destroy the sulfur and other fragile nutrients in the soil. Sulfur is only present in fresh organically-grown foods.

In the Sulfur Study in 1999, the research found that “Finland, alarmed over the increasing disease rate of its population, took a hard look at chemical fertilizers and banned all of them, fearing the levels of cadmium. They were not aware of the sulfur connection at the time. Since doing so, they have become a leading supplier of “Bio-Friendly” or completely organic foods in Europe. They have also seen their disease rates drop to one-tenth of the 1985 levels. In 1985, the U.S. was at the same marked disease level as Finland. Why are we not following suit and banning all chemical fertilizers? It appears that the epidemiology of those countries using chemical fertilizers have an increase in disease, while those that use organically-based fertilizing methods do not.”(15)

In addition to sulfur compounds, there is also stem cell therapy to help the body regenerate itself. New stem cells have the potential to mature within the blood system into various immune system cells that recognize and fight off different types of blood cancer as well as used to treat diseases such as lymphoma, leukemia, multiple myeloma, myocarditis, and neuroblastoma.

Dr. Betty Hamilton, MD, Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology said, “They also have the ability to heal.” Bone marrow transplants are currently used to treat diseases such as lymphoma, leukemia, multiple myeloma, and neuroblastoma.

You may be aware that other countries around the world are currently using stem cell therapy for treating heart disease, painful joints, back pain, arthritis, hair loss, diabetes, Crohn’s, MS, and other health challenges.

There are many studies that have been conducted using stem cell therapy, using blood, and petri dishes, which are then injected into the person wanting the stem cell therapy. This can be very costly and have unpredictable results. This is considered to be regenerative medicine.

This encompasses a new medical science, that involves the functional restoration of tissues or organs caused by severe injuries or chronic diseases. This technology has been shown to repair and restore the damaged tissue’s stem cell.

The common link between all of these trials is the ability of the stem cells to reduce inflammation and repair damage to your body.

I have been using a non-transdermal GHK-CU copper peptide activation therapy from the Lifewave Company for the past year.

Ingredients

8 oz. whole, sprouted-grain lasagna noodles
2 eggs (preferably organic, humanely raised, and pasture raised)
1 16-oz. container ricotta cheese (preferably from cows or goats that are grass fed and humanely raised)
2 c. mozzarella cheese (preferably from cows or goats that are grass fed and humanely raised), grated
1 c. Parmesan cheese (preferably from cows or goats that are grass fed and humanely raised), grated
½ c. parsley (fresh), chopped
1 c. red onion, chopped
1 T. extra virgin, pure coconut oil
1 c. mushrooms, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 c. broccoli, chopped
½ c. baby spinach, chopped
3 c. tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. unrefined sea salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
dash of cayenne pepper
pinch of garlic salt
pinch of onion powder
1/8 tsp. basil (dried)
1/8 tsp. thyme (dried)
1/8 tsp. parsley (dried)
1/8 tsp. savory (dried)
1/8 tsp. sage (dried)
1 tsp. miso
1/4 c. non-chlorinated water

Directions

12. Serve warm.

Notes:
1. I love to use roasted tomato sauce with this recipe.
2. Garlic salt can be found in the spice area at the grocery store. You can also simply mince some garlic and add it to some sea salt to make your own.
3. You can use Vegan egg and cheese options. I have resources and recipes for those in my cookbooks, like “How To Be A Healthy Vegetarian,” 2nd edition.

4. I make this herb mixture in a larger version, store it in a glass jar, and use it frequently in many of my recipes.
