I mix distilled alcohol in with water (about 20%) intp the water reservour. Works great and smells wonderful. I have only ever used non toxic for house cleaning and laundry; H2O2, vinegar, alcohol, Borax, Arm and Hammer Washing Soda and Baking Soda
