Susan, good question. I use either &quot;Real Salt&quot; mined in Utah or Bolivian Rose salt. I don&#039;t use himalayan, it doesn&#039;t have natural iodine in it and the other two have it. But yes, add one of those salts to your water. It adds the minerals back in.  I also like the mineral supplement by Modere: Here is the link for the supplement.

I still buy Reverse Osmosis water at Sprouts for 25cents/gallon (in BPA-free plastic jugs),  and sb there told me they used Himalayan salt, pulverized to a powder in a coffee grinder,  which is what i do b/c the &quot;minerals&quot; in a bottle there were so expensive.
