Eucalyptus Essential Oil Can Help With Diabetes

Many different cultures have used essential eucalyptus oils to help regulate blood sugar levels. What they have found is that eucalyptus essential oil can help with diabetes.

In 2015, Colombian researchers found that Eucalyptus tereticornis extracts increased glucose uptake in vitro (test tube study). Research also showed diabetic mice had reduced fasting glycemia, improved glucose tolerance, and reduced insulin resistance when using a variety of eucalyptus essential oils.

Another study published in the World Journal of Diabetes reported that Eucalyptus globulus was the clear winner in this in vitro research study and found that the polyphenols and flavonoids in three eucalyptus species inhibited enzymes that played a role in type 2 diabetes.

Some ways to use it:

  • Add some Eucalyptus essential oil drops to your bath water with Epson Salts.
  • Use some Eucalyptus essential oil drops in a humidifier.
  • Massage your feet with the Eucalyptus essential oil.

The Eucalyptus oil I use is a certified organic version from the UK, with the highest standards. Click here to see the certified organic essential oils that I use that are made by NYR Organics in England.

You may like my book, Diabetes And Your Diet, if you would like more information for reversing diabetes. The book mainly addresses type 2, but also addresses some things can help with type 1 as well. There is a large print paperback version, audio, ebook, as well as a paperback version.
